An autonomous electric racer car named “DevBot #1” successfully completes a track test in Marrakech, Morocco. The car was equipped with technology such as GPS, radar, and ultrasonics, which along with computer programing guided the car on the track while avoiding obstacles. Justin Cooke, Roborace’s spokesperson said this is a significant leap forward for their company as it was the first time the car had been run in driverless mode on a Formula E track. The developers, who spent countless hours in the development of this technology unique to Roborace, sees the successful test as the beginning of exciting future possibilities in the technology field. Their primary goal is to organize a Roborace series, featuring autonomous vehicles competing in the city circuits during Formula E ePrix weekends.
