NFL star Micah Parsons has shared his view on the ongoing debate about whether NBA players could also make it in the NFL, and vice versa. This conversation arose when Lou Williams, a retired NBA player, said on “Underground Lounge” show, “everyone should respect each other’s craft.” Williams contended there aren’t 30 NBA players who could transition to the NFL, and the reverse would hold as well. Parsons disagreed with the statement and responded on social media.
Williams also discussed his issue with NFL players calling NBA players ‘soft’ and arguing that they ‘flop’. He emphasized that both sports involve physicality and skill, pointing out that basketball involves more contact than it is given credit for. In response, Parsons stated, “I dead ass watch mf go 0 points and play 30 minutes. It ain’t hard to dunk or make a lay up.”
All these debates were triggered by Austin Rivers, who claimed he could effortlessly integrate 30 NBA players into the NFL. However, he said the same could not be said for transitioning 30 NFL players to the NBA. Amid responses and criticism of his statement, Rivers mentioned specifically a few NBA players he believed could have made a successful transition to the NFL, including Anthony Edwards, Lebron James, Zion Williamson, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook and Aaron Gordon.
