Those recalling anger-inducing experiences saw a 50% reduction in blood vessel dilation within 40 minutes of the task, temporarily raising their risk of heart attack and stroke. Anxiety and sadness did not have similar effects. Experts recommend recognizing triggers and learning relaxation techniques to manage anger as well as seeking professional help if needed.
