Blackstone Chief Executive Officially Backs Trump for Presidential Run

Stephen Schwarzman, CEO and co-founder of Blackstone, declared his support for ex-President Donald Trump’s bid for presidency in public on Friday, voicing his fears regarding the increasing antisemitism and President Joe Biden’s conduct of policies.

Concerns Over Rising Antisemitism and Current Policies

In his statement to Axios, Schwarzman highlighted the alarming surge of antisemitism which has compelled him to focus more vigilantly on the outcomes of future elections. “The escalating antisemitism has made me interrogate the aftereffects of future elections more seriously,” he stated.

“I join the majority of Americans in their worry that our present financial, immigration, and international strategies are steering the country astray. Given these concerns, my intention is to vote for change by endorsing Donald Trump in the Presidential race. Furthermore, my support extends to Republican Senate hopefuls, as well as other Republican candidates.”

Schwarzman’s Proposed Actions Against Antisemitism

According to New York Post’s report last week, Schwarzman, whose net worth is around $40 billion, is pondering over funding initiatives to counter the rise of antisemitism.

“Being Jewish, Steve has always harbored apprehension about the growth of antisemitism. But he has now decided that it’s time to confront this issue,” shared an informed individual.

A Surprising Shift in Schwarzman’s Political Stance

Schwarzman’s endorsement of Trump has caught many by surprise, as he had proclaimed his departure from Trump for the Presidential contest of 2024, back in November 2022.

“For America to prosper, its leaders need to focus on the present and future, not the past,” Schwarzman opined previously.

“The Republican Party should welcome a new generation of leaders. My support, during the upcoming Presidential primaries, will align with one such emerging leader.”
