19th Dahlonega Literary Festival: Venue and Features
On the 2nd of March, Saturday, the much-awaited 19th Dahlonega Literary Festival is set to take place at the Dahlonega Baptist Church.
Genres and Timings
The festival this year is promising to offer a variety of genres to cater to the preferences of fiction and non-fiction lovers alike. The sessions will commence from 9:00 am and continue till around 6:00 pm.
Featured Authors and Sessions
Nationally recognized southern author, Sharyn McCrumb, is gracing the festival as this year’s featured author. Additionally, nearly twenty other featured authors and fifteen regional authors will partake in the festival, sharing insights about their books and writing experiences.
Panel Discussions
Professor D. Tanya Bennett, from the University of North Georgia, will be presiding over a panel devoted to Lillian Smith. Smith was a noteworthy author and a pioneer in advocating for gender and racial equality.
Event Locations and Ticketing
All events, with the exception of lunch, will be conducted at the Dahlonega Baptist Church, located at 234 Hawkins Street. The traditional event called “Lunch with Authors” is scheduled at the University of North Georgia Campus in Dining Room A, at 404 Georgia Circle. Tickets for this event, priced at $20, will start selling from mid-February.
