A Canadian nail salon, Fix Nail Bar, is offering patrons a 20% discount on pedicures if they allow the salon to sell pictures of their feet online to cater to the foot fetish market. Customers who want to partake in the scheme, dubbed the “Foot Your Bill” campaign, simply need to sign a waiver allowing the salon to post the photos on FeetFinder, an online platform which generates more than $5 million in feet content sales annually due to its millions of verified users.
The site is currently the world’s largest platform for selling feet pictures, most likely due to the increasing popularity of foot fetishes. To redeem the salon’s offer, customers can choose from a variety of pedicure options including naked, regular polish, or gel.
The idea seemingly came after a survey by fetish site FunWithFeet revealed that models with certain foot shapes can earn lucrative figures from foot-oriented content. For instance, models with ‘Greek feet’ (where the second toe is longer than the rest) could earn up to $43,000, while those with square feet could earn up to $45,000.
According to Fix Nail Bar founder, Neketa Andrews, the unusual campaign will support business growth and provide customers with a unique experience. The salon ensures that all feet pictures will remain anonymous and not contain any identifying information to assure customers of their privacy.
For those who do not live in Toronto but still want to monetize photos of their feet, sex therapist Melissa Cook advised focusing on image quality and understanding the audience. She emphasized on uniqueness and high-quality of content over quick snapshots, suggesting red toenail polish as a favored choice among many.
