Social media user Jordan_The_Stallion8 recently sent the internet into a frenzy after sharing a clever condiment hack online. Known for his instructional life videos, he demonstrated a simple and effective method to squeeze ketchup out of a bottle without the usual struggle and mess. Jordan suggested going against the typical way of using these bottles by refraining from squeezing the main section and instead, apply pressure from the sides and releasing, which will utilize the built-up pressure to release the product.
The TikTok star claimed to have extensively studied ketchup bottling history and even wrote a college paper on it, thus backing his hack with solid knowledge. He explained that the squeeze bottle, introduced in 1983, and the ‘upside-down’ or ‘gravity’ bottle in 2001, were created to facilitate the pouring of ketchup. However, he cautioned that the side-squeeze method might not work as effectively when the bottle starts to empty.
The reaction to this newfound hack was mixed with amazement and disbelief, with one viewer questioning why companies spent millions on developing such techniques without sharing the information with the public. Another viewer humorously claimed his entire existence was a lie upon learning this technique. Heinz, the popular ketchup manufacturing company, also recently advised consumers to store their ketchup in the fridge rather than leaving it out on the table.
